Will all the seven motors look the same? is their any way to identify the right motor from a pile of old creda motors?

Do you think the reason why my motors are over heating is because they are the wrong ones?
or could their be another fault causing this problem?

Hard to be specific, not really possible to ID them just by looking at them.

The numbers on the motors do not cross reference with the actual part numbers.

    Could be wrong motors. :con:

As far as I remember, the later the motor the higher the reference number… The later motors are mostly modifications of earlier versions. There are one or two that have a different plug and therefore in this case you would not be able to fit the wrong motor.
The motor for the 3kg models had various problems with the fields breaking down and the bearings becoming very noisy.

What is the 3 digit number on your original motor?

I seen a motor for sale on Ebay
which has been removed from a Creda Electra Tumbler Dryer Model 459
Do anyone know if this is the same motor as I need for my

The original label on the motor has come off so don’t have any details.

Could it be something else that is coursing the motor to over heat?
I ran the tumble dryer with the back off, heater and belt disconnected. and motor still overheats

There is no 459 model, there is a 37459 which does use the same motor.

Tumble Dryer is working now. The engineer which had a look at my dryer first, must have connected one wire wrong on the timer the red and black wire. I moved it too the next terminal as shown in Picture and dryer works again.
