ParticipantHi, first of all apologies if this subject has been discussed before. My Creda tumble dryer thermostat is on the way out. I have managed to use a pin to reset etc but I am going to need a new one or pair. Can anyone tell me the part number that I will need for both thermostats. Many thanks for your help.

Two different kits used, full serial number required to identify. Have you checked the outlet hose and wall vent, constant tripping of stat is due to airflow obstructions,

The terminals are horizontal to the stat blue spot

The terminals are vertical to the stat see pictures.

Thanks Steven, I have looked at the old ones and they are similar to the 2nd type as the terminals are not flat but point outwards. Do you know what the additional wires are for? Can I just replace the stats using the old wires?
ThxOctober 2, 2013 at 11:55 pm #401997Steven

yes, normally no need to use the additional cable.

Thanks Steven, just wanted to make sure. I have also ordered a pair of new pulleys to replace my old squeaky ones. Out of interest what is the best way to go about replacing? What I mean is what panels etc to remove as I don’t want to remove stuff that is not necessary.
Many thanks

Hi All,
Help! I have fitted both the stats and the heating element seems to cut out after about a minute, any ideas what this can be?October 4, 2013 at 10:09 pm #402000DEMPSEY1965

Hi All,
My Creda Reversair Sensadry fails to produce any heat so I replaced both stats as a starter. When I turned on the machine the problem still exists where the element produces heat for about 30 seconds then just dies. Any ideas what else could be the problem. I do appreciate your help.
Regards

Also can you tell me which thermostat goes where as they are not similar. The one on the right has a little hole in with the terminal above and below this is coloured black and the one on the right is grey with the terminals side by side. The new kit has the terminals on both stats side by side.
