creda simplicty 1000

hi guys i would like some help with a creda simplicty 1000 washing machine when you put it on it will not work i checked the interlock when you remove it from the machine and push the lach across on the interlock it works ok so is the problum with the striker plate on front of the interlock as the lach on the door is made of metal or can the spring in the lach get weak thanks for any help 😕 fasetester.

try changing the interlock first it might be worn. then look at door latch and or distortion on the front panel or hinge.

One end of the catch spring will have become disconnected.

thanks wilf and chris for your reply when you go to do a wash and give the door a slight slap it will work is that the spring on the lach what about the plate on front of the interlock could it be worn the striker plate thanks fasetester 🙂

What model number machine are we talking about here fasetester?

hi martin it is a creda simplicty 1000 but i will have to check the model no and get back to you the next time iam in i just replaced the door hinge on the same machine its the second hinge in a short while why are the hinges so bad qualty its the mother in laws machine 😉 fasetester

can the striker plate that screws to the front of the interlock cause the lach on the door not line up right if it is wore. chris. 🙂 fasetester
