The temperature in the oven reaches an uncontrollably high level and the grill has now failed. Do I take it the thermostat needs replacing? If so, where is it situated please? Is it something my partner or I could replace? We are both quite handy and I can’t interest an electrician in the work. Incidentally, we haven’t been able to budge the oven from its housing. In fact will we need to and any tips as to how best to get at it if we do?!I understand we should firstly turn off all the electricity connected!

TBH you don’t need an electrician as such but someone with experience of repairing domestic appliances.

You need to be able have suitable electrical test equipment and know how to use it to test the grill components and ensure the machine is safe after repair as well.
Changing the thermostat on this machine is not really a simple DIY Job. My advice would be to use the ‘Find an engineer’ link at the top of our home page.
