ParticipantAre there any Creda engineers’s out there with knowledge of Creda storage heaters I get a few calls for these at this time of the year and find them good earner’s. Most are easy to repair but this ons is computer controlled there is no heat from it, I have checked elements, input stat all ok, but there are two thermistors and a P.C.B. with loads of dip switches on it can anyone help?.Also could do with service manual.

I have just been checking Applied Enery’s website about this problem it appears that the PCB is part of a remote control system for these heaters
and there are two heaters not working so it looks as though the problem may be the master control unit or just programing of it but I did not see any master control.
So if anyone can help this may throw some light on the problem.

right if memory serves me correctly the dippies are for setting the id to the htr and somewhere in the house you should find a box similar to a normal central heating timer on the wall.
From this all the units are controled if you do find it and theyre switched off, when switched on again it will take about a week for it to sort it head out.
If you cant find a box and they say they did work then poss a house up the road with poss same id numbers has been controling them

This is A Creda net system i would check the settings on the programer as you can select differant zones with various combinations of heaters on each zone, if this heater is allocated a zone with other heaters and they are working it may be faulty, but if it is situated in a warm part of the house the system might not charge up the heater, the programer desides how much charge to give each heater to attain the temp set for each zone incidently if the comfort setting is set to low it might never come on.
