    Hi All
Called to this and found the one shot stat was gone,i didnt have the right kit in van so ordered one.it is a qualtex kit (TOC31) equivalent to 1741124 which is the correct stat kit on paper. It says the original one shot is replaced by the red button type but what does this mean because i dont see a red button.one is 110 which would be the one shot and the other is an 85 which is the auto reset and does not have the so called red button.can anyone tell me should there be a red button and is there need to replace the original wire with the glass filled wire provided in the kit.
    thanks

Its not a red button but a red spot on the cut-out which is the 110 deg on the left, the other one could be a purple spot 85 deg on the right
    Hope this helps

I had some pattern stat kits from Masterpart. They were marked with the temperatures but no colour codes. (The temperatures were only approximately near to the genuine). I checked them using a heat gun and found that the higher temp was a “one shot” and the lower a self-resetting. Cheaper, certainly, but worth the risk?

the higher temp should be the one shot
and the lower the self resetting
