Creda T601CW tumble dryer not heating

Drum turning but no heat (on either gentle or high setting). Any ideas or troubleshooting tips?

Make sure you keep the condensor clean, a pressure hose in the back garden is good, 😀 Except in emergencies, do not stop the dryer mid cycle to check on how dry the load is, always let it continue to the end and complete the cool down phase.

Plug out at all times when you have your fingers inside.

iadom, the hyperlink you gave shows a replacement thermostat. How can I be sure that it is that component that has failed? Is there anything I can test to verify this? Also, could you tell me where this part is located in the machine and how to get at it (e.g. from front or back or machine; if from back, do I have to take off the whole back panel or just part of it?). Stats at the back, small panel, you can test them with the correct electrical test equipment for continuity.
