I am trying to locate the front thermostat to test it but failing miserably.
The best advice that I have found is ‘on the plastic drum surround at the front’. ‘Above door aperture’
But no luck.
Any ideas please?well there are only a few places it can be
on the plastic surround so get a mirror and you looking for a small silver circle about 1/.2 inch diameter. look directly at the top
also take out the filter and look inside there with a torch and again look for a silver circle

As Dave says, it is on the inside upper edge of the plastic door opening surround, set at about 5 minutes to 12 o’clock. It is just possible to pull it GENTLY into the door space to access but you will need to cut off a small cable tie accessed from above with the top off the dryer. If you don’t remove this tie the wires will pull off the stat.
