Hi all,
thanks for your help previously.
I got new capacitor, removed the top from the machine, and at the top of the casing at the front is some sort of box with wires attached ( blue red and grey) These wires then travel round to the back of the machine.
Where they are attached to this box one of the blue/white and connector are burnt, quite badly.
Can i replace this, and would i have to replace the ‘box’ too, what are they? I can take pictures if that helps/

You need to host them somewhere like Imageshack, Photobucket, Putfile or any other web hosting site and then copy the url into your post.
If you can upload them to your own webspace you could paste them into your post using the image tags.
The control timer is located behind the timer knob, the relay is in a more central position, both of these have more than three wires going to them though. 😕 The relay has a ‘see through’ casing.
Either component will be damaged and need replacing and the wiring repaired at the same time.

Many thanks for that, think that i’ve established that the main problem is the wiring from the relay but i may have to replace the relay too! 😕 Not sure where i will get the wiring loom from!

Its very unlikely that you will be able to get a wiring loom. It isn’t really needed.
I, like almost all other trade members would cut back the damaged wiring and fit new cable and AMP tags using blue (not red ) butt connectors.
