    Hi All.
The above vented dryer keeps blowing it’s 130C ‘one shot’ stat. I have been fitting genuine Creda ‘Green spot’ kits, third one gone now, roughly every month.
Customer appears to be using the machine correctly ie, shortish progs, letting it cool down, not 2 or 3 loads one after the other. Also the machine is in an airy room and it’s vents aren’t blocked.
Done all obvious checks, scratching my head now. Help!
    Cheers!

Star/run relay dropping out will do this – all action just stops after a while if the relay is losing it.

It May be worth checking the capacitor for the motor. If it is starting to weaken it will fail to start the motor hence no air flow and cut outs blow.

    Thanks Penguin45.
Did think of that and watched for 10min or so. Customer hasn’t complained of it stopping either and works fine until all goes cold one day! If, or when, the stat goes again though, I’ll take your advice and change the relay too!
    Many thanks!

    Thanks Geoff1.
Again, like Penguin45’s reply, there doesn’t seem to a problem with starting or running???
    All advice much appreciated though!
    Cheers

Check for a build-up of fluff inside the machine blocking the vent-holes
