    Guys

Before I order a set of stats, a bit of advice.

A while ago the heat went off, and I ordered a set of stats and changed them. Still not heat. I eventaully opened my eyes and saw the heater element had failed – so new heater element and left the new stats in and everything was okay. The stats I removed I packed and put in the garage for future use.

Well future has arrived, and the heat has gone again – heater element is okay this time so out come the ‘garage’stats, fitted them, but still no heat.

As I took out the stats this morning I found that neither was ‘spotted’ although the temperarures were different 130C and 105C. I think I have got the ‘garage’ set in the correct configuration based on what the temperature was (but this may have got confused if I mixed up the non-spotted stats )
    :boops:
The connection confguration I have used is:

    Green spot…… orange -0- orange
    Non spot ………brown/blue -0- blue

The resistance of the ‘garage’ stats is: green spot = infinity, non-spot = 0.2

So have I got the stats correctly configured, and are they still good?

No you have damaged the green spot TOC by accidentally pressing the base in. It is a ‘one shot’ safety device so does not reset. It should have the same reading as the other, temperature control stat.
The green spot should sit to the left as you look at them.

Thanks for the fast repsonse. At least I managed to keep the config right. Ordering a new set of stats now.
