I had a problem with my dryer blowing my house fuse, after some problems with the switches & replacing the timer it work for a few weeks, but today again it blow the house fuse, checked the heater and one coil is bent & i think it touching the other one!
On seaching the internet there is a difference in heating elements, 2.2 & 2.5, some quote 1701768, & some the 1701584 for the creda T622RW

    Which one is correct?

One more question, both my stats on the back the plates(little discs inside the stat) are loose but seem to work ok!

    Thanks for your help 😀

You need to check the serial number of your machine. The first two numbers are the date code. If the serial number begins with 19 or less then you need a 1701768 2.5 kw element, if the first two numbers are 20 or above you need a 1702697 2.3 kw heater.

Are you sure it is a T622RW, I can only see a T622CW. I wonder if it is a factory reworked machine, did you buy it from a discount shop?

    Jim.

Sorry typo T622CW, bought new from comet

My ser no. 16105078, so its the 1701768 2.5 kw element?

What do you think about the Thermostats?
Are they meant to be loose?

Thanks for your quick quick reply
