I have a creda TCR13 CONDENSER TUMBLE DRYER

The problem is that the water is not extracting into the container at all.

Instread there is some water which can be extracted via a rubber plug in the back of the unit.

We have had some problems with getting the door to shut when putting the condenser part back in.

What could be the problem – and is it easy to fix – as I am a novice.

    jas_ilford,

Removing the rubber plug at the back my allow a small amount of water out, clean the short length of pipe with something like a cotton bud. But it’s more likely that the machine is not heating rather than any blockage?

The door latching device has been known to be a little tricky to latch and a replacement Remote Latching Device (Part No : 1702000) is not very costly should it need replacing?

One possibilty, particularly if you are having problems closing the door is that the valve on the water container or more likely the aperture inside the dryer that this valve slots into has been damaged. Shine a torch inside the hole from which you remove the water container and look a the back right hand corner. Can you see a spring or other ‘bits’ loose in there. If the answer is yes then you will almost certainly need a replacement float chamber. This is most definately not a repair for the inexperienced as it requires removal of the drum etc.
