It does come off backwards, very tight though, you need to give the front edge a sharp, hard knock with the heel of your hand.
PS. I am not liable for any self inflicted physical damage. 🙂
Stats are now available separately, number has been posted somewhere on the site.

One of the Hotpoint lads posted it somewhere, my version of PartFinder has just flagged that it is due for renewal so hopefully it will be listed on the next version.

That’s interesting, that part number is recognised by Partfinder but only against Ariston, Indesit and Proline versions of the exact same dryer that sell for much less than the Hotpoint and Creda versions……

You have a different version that me then 😀
V2.1d is mine now I’ve checked which shows a date of June 2005, if you work for Merloni it probably gets updated automatically ?

Ref getting lid off, simply lever the rear lugs with a flatblade s/driver and the lid will come off with ease 😀

Hi,
Same problem and no stock of 1703200 stat kit at connect. Does anyone know or think the green spot stat kit would be ok to fit as a replacement as the leaflet in the box states 6KG condenser dryers from 1999?
Hope we can shed some light on this
TIA

The one shot device on the Hotpoint CTD00 models which appear to be the same dryer are rated at 143°. green spot is 130°.
