Machine not heating. Checked rear stat pair and heater, all OK. Found another stat mounted high up at the front, also reading short circuit. What else should I check? The dryer will also need the later type door latch as it now only runs when you hold the door shut and has been jumping open during use.

Quite often the timer gives this fault Phidom, had it a couple of times with Indesit group stuff.Had a Hotpoint a few weeks ago with no drum movement, after checking cap, motor & wiring was running out of ideas, tapped timer with screwdriver handle & off she went 😯

I fitted the new type door latch kit but customer says door still keeps opening by itself. Any suggestions (ones not involving skips, rubbish dumps etc. preferred)?

have never had a problem you cant fit them wrong so is the door twisted failing that i would try another latch kit did you fit latch and springlatch assy

Got one of these with door which has to be held shut with tape. Latch itself, on the door, looks fine. What’s behind the front panel?
