    Hi,
I’ve got a TCR2 dryer which is making a loud clunking noise. After a bit of investigation, it looks like something at the back of the drum, which the drum rotates around has broken, causing the back of the drum to drop and then rub on against the rear panel of the dryer and hence generate the loud noise. The earth strip has also sheared and whatever sticks through the rear panel to make contact with the strip has more movement than it should.

A quick search of parts shows a rear drum bearing, a rear drum shaft pin and a rear drum shaft collar. I don’t know which of these I need along of course with the earthing strip and having removed the top and one side, can’t down the small gap between the rear of the drum and back panel to see what’s going on.

If somebody could give me advice on how to diagnose which bit(s) I need, I’d be very grateful

    Thanks in advance 🙂

contais everything you need to put your dryer right, although the drum needs to come out, right hand side panel off, and it becomes obvious

There is a repair kit (C00095655) which contains the shaft, bearing, earth strip, collar and bearing support.

An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk quoting that number will get things moving for you.
