KeymasterHi All
The above tumble dryer will not heat up. The empty Water light stays on which I assume is forcing the cool down cycle. Fluff filter is clean, water container is empty & the condenser is clean and in place.
Where would I find the switch (empty water) or is there likely to be another problem? Is it possible to get a circuit diagram.
Many thanks
Trev

Trev,
The most likely problem is the the Thermostat Kit (Part No: 1701557 and available at our “shop@”) has blown. Usually due to users turning the machine off BEFORE the last 10 minute ‘Cool-Down’ part of the cycle. 😥
That blows the thermostats every time 🙁

Thanks for your fast response.
I will order the thermostat kit. Do you have a part no for the fluff filter so I can replace that?
Could you please tell me where I will find the thermostats.

Trev, I’ll add the filter to the shop tomorrow so you can buy them both at the same time. I’ll give you the links then.
Dave.

ParticipantClick on the “shop @” link and it’s easy from there. Dave Conway can advise re fluff filter in the morning.
Thermostats are under the rear cover of the machine, bear in mind that the safety trips for a reason, so –
1) Make sure the channel through the door is defluffed.
2) Make sure that the condensor baffle (The big aluminium plates) is defluffed – shower head/garden hose is very good for this.
3) Don’t open the door half way through the cycle to see how they’re doing – set the knob to “cool” or the last 10 minutes for a couple of minutes first.Always pull the plug first.

Hi All
The parts arrived this morning & the tumble dryer is now back in action, just as the sun comes out ❗
The advice and service were spot on. I will be recomending this site to any one with white goods that are playing up.
Many thanks
Trev 😀

KeymasterRe: Creda Dryer 37748E – No Heat!–Same as Creda 37747?
Dear Dave,
I think I have the same problem w/ my Creda 37747. Should I use the same parts or is there another part number to follow?
Second question, I live in Italy (we moved since buying the dryer). Is there anyway to have the parts mailed here?
Thanks,
Erik

It may be the same part Erik but there are several variations, someone will reply on Monday when we can look it up for you. Italy should be no problem.

Very many thanks. I will look for a reply on Monday. If possible, I will also require a new filter (ours is a bit torn). You’d be amazed but almost no-one in Italy has a dryer and none of the appliance shops know what to do w/ them.
Thanks again,
Ej

ParticipantThermostat kit for the machine is indeed 1701557, it’s in the Shop@ bit of the site, but you will need to have a word with Dave_Conway about postage charges – probably a little bit more.

Italy isn’t a problem Erik, the postage charge will be the same as for the UK but it will take a little longer to arrive obviously.
