I recently had to replace the belt on a Creda 5Kg Tumbler Dryer model number 37482. This is rather an old machine dating from the 1990s.

During that procedure one of the connectors came off the motor capacitor.
The capacitor has 4 connectors – presumably 2 pairs. There is a red cable on one connector of one pair and a brown cable on one of the other pair. This pair of cables connects to the motor.
The loose cable is red/black. This cable comes from the timer switch.
Where should this be connected to?

    Can anyone help?

I got the answer to my query from a local service engineer.
It was so simple I post it here for the benefit of others.
    The answer is –
Put the cable back on the terminal it came off – usually a spade connector will leave scratches on the terminal. I identified these with a magnifying glass and got the correct terminal first time.
