ParticipantMy mum has this machine, but once the programme has finished it has periodic basts of water entering the drum. If you don’t switch the machine off immediately at the plug it can fill right back up with water. Reading other messages I guess it could be the water level sensor. Is this likely? Her engineer doesn’t have a clue, and apparently nor do Creda!
Any help would be apprecuited.

Once the machine has finished a complete cycle it restarts then does it?

I’m really not sure too as to what you really mean unless the taps need turning off or maybe the drain is connected to the sink and is flowing back into the machine?
Can you spare us more detailed info please?

Hi martin
It happens once the programme is completely finished. It’s washed, rinsed and spun and stops. If you don’t then turn it off at the plug immediately then it starts to refill in short bursts. It’s not continual, and it’s not restarting the programme. If left the machine will fill up with water, but does not start to wash or spin so don’t think it’s restarting.
Any help would be great!

That indeed is an odd one and clearly a fault within the main Control Module I would think? Giving short bursts of power from the module to the water inlet valve (or the wires to and from are shorting against the cabinet – but that’s very unlikely without blowing the trip switch or fuse) …very odd indeed 😯
…and the local engineer couldn’t suss what was happening then eh?…odder still 🙄

Thanks for your help. If that is the problem is it safe to continue using the machine, and do you have any idea it might cost to repair?
Thanks

Well I think it is still safe to use yes! As to the cost?…unsure but a new Module plus fitting may cost around £100 (ish?). If it’s under 5 years old then I think you’ll find it covered by Creda’s 5 yr parts warranty but they charge £90 labour to come out though 🙁

Thanks so much for your help. I’ll leave the decision of what to do up to her!
