Creda W220VW washing machine Fill Problem/s

Good evening,

Wondering if anyone can help with an obscure fault on the above w/m?

When a wash programme is selected, all is well… water fills, washes, heats… until first drain has ended.

Then, following an approximate two minute pause, “RUN” & “END” light flash, and no further cycle operation.

I renewed the pressure switch… same problem, and then fitted a re-conditioned control board today… same problem, all well until first drain, then no further water fill, and above lights flashing.

I’ve double checked the wiring connections to, and from the board, and would appreciate some help.

have you checked

water valves

pressure bell

if you restart programme immediatly does it start ?

Thank you electrofix and iadom,

Returned today, and carried out the Test Sequence as per manual.

This confirmed Error Code: 2 – Failure to set pressure switch in 94 seconds.

The pressure chamber is clear, and the p/s hose is fine.

I haven’t tested the water valves yet, as it initially fills perfectly well.

Could e/fix let me know if pressure bell means bellows, as I replaced the p/switch prior to the module/board.

Pressure chamber=pressure bell. Possibly time to try a fill valve. 😉

Agreed, but I wonder why the m/c initially fills perfectly?

Just a thought, what is the serial number/date code? At date code 42 the machine was changed from a H+C fill to C fill only. There are different programming instructions for the H+C and the C fill machines. It will fill through the rinse valve to start the programme then switch to the hot valve or cold wash valve to give a timed fill for the wash programmes.

If the rinse valve is faulty then you would get the symptoms you describe. It is possible that the valve is failing intermittently. allowing a small amount of water for the initial fill but failing when it gets to the rinse cycle. ❓

Renewed fill valves… cured fault!

Suspect faulty solenoid.
