The clock/timer is frequently cutting out and the display fades and flickers at a very low light level. I have to press the manual button several times for it to revert to normal, which may last many hours until it happens again. Is this indicative of a faulty timer control, or a fuse or an electrical power issue? If the timer needs to be replaced, how complex is this job, assuming the part is available? I would most likely hire a technician to repair this if possible.

well need more info to look up the cooker as I cant find the model

if its a simple timer then it can be bridged so the oven works without it

What other info is required? According to the product rating plate the model # is ESO 313 (the manual I have lists model # ESO 310/312). The serial # appears to be 62 E000042

There is file restriction size of 19 KB and my photo is larger much than this. Can the restriction be eliminated or increased a suitable amount to allow me to upload?

I have no right to vary the size restriction but

post file on another site and post a public link

that makes sense now these early units are known by the 48 number so yours is model 48358

if it was a power issue I would expect it to go on and off while in use

it will be a simple clock and be very easy to bridge it but to able to tell you have I need to see a picture of the rear connections on the clock unit

you could pull the unit out and look at the terminal block and if its plugged into another socket try a 13a extension lead

OK, but can you provide more detailed info on how remove the unit, and instructions on how to jump the terminals to bypass the timer? I have a technician that can come to do the work, who is at least familiar with these appliances. I can coordinate the work so that we can catch you during work hours. But aside, knowing the model #, do you think a replacement timer is avialable?

be a long shot on that one

to get parts info for these ovens have to set my computer back 19 years

unscrew the screws holding oven in housing ( round door )

pull oven out, remove top after first removing power

take some clear pic of the rear of the timer
should be able to work it out from there
