creda washing machine door lock

Creda advance 1000 model No 17112g

Ive been having trouble getting the machine started ..by putting pressure on the door lock area ive managed to get it to start but its failed altogether now..

How do i check the switch before buying a new one please.

Plug removed at all times when working on the machine. :zap:
