I draw a diagram of what plug goes where, wire colours etc but still manage to do things wrong sometimes. A couple of weeks ago I had to send a WMA board to EMW twice as it was still not right after their first attempt. On the final visit I had a friend with me so was keen to get the job out of the way. I had left the day free for my visitor from England but felt obliged to do this one as it had now been ongoing for about 10 days. There was a 2 way plug and 2 individual spade wires going into a similar 2 way socket. Unfortunately these 2 pairs of wires were of identical colour combinations so I managed to put the spades in the wrong 2 way socket etc. I had drawn a square on my sketch to indicate the 2 way plug but I think I must have just put them where they looked like they should go! Fortunately no damage was done and the machine worked OK when I swapped them back. 😳
