Credaplan ecowash 47908 stopped filling

I have a Credaplan ecowash integrated dishwasher mod number 47908. It has given me many years good service but has now stopped working during a wash. It shows various symptoms. Initially I noticed that it had stopped half way through the wash cycle. The only sound was a low hum. I opened the door & found lots of dirty cold water. I thought the heater may have gone, but when I forwarded the dial one click, it heated the water and started washing. The dial moved on automatically until it stopped again towards the end of the wash cycle. Again forwarding the dial caused it to continue. It pumped out the water, but when it got to the rinse cycle, it did not refill with water and got stuck again. This time I could hear the pump working. Now it does not fill with water at all. If I try starting it at the beginning, no water enters the machine. The tap is on. 🙂 We do have water at the kitchen sink, which is connected. I’ve also given the filter at the bottom a good clean. Any ideas would be really appreciated.

It sounds like the pressure safety on the inlet valve has been activated. It may be news to you, but the appliance is actually a Bosch in a skirt, one of the “Three Fills” machines. If the hose between the fill matrix on the side of the machine and the sump becomes blocked, water backs up and will activate the valve shut-off. Clearing the hose may solve the problem; however due to the (advanced) age of the machine, the valve itself may be playing up.

Power off if investigating.

Thanks for the advice. The good news is that I cleaned out the various hoses and the the dishwasher now works ! The bad news is that I bent one of the adjustable legs/screws getting the dishwasher out ! So, l’ll need to try and get a replacement part. 😥
