Is it just me out of touch with tumble driers(hate the bl*&^{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}y things)or have the manufacturers just been bl*&^y minded in the way they expect engineers to change belts ect.took 1 1/2 hrs to change a belt and ive got another one to do next week 👿 👿 .
thankfully i ordered up a blower blade at the same time for a just in case as i had to cut the old one off to dismantle the flamin thng.

is there a easy way for these ?

Belts on White Knight Condensor T/D’s 😥 😥

No, no easy way, and yes, you nearly always have to break the fan to get it off.

    PITA !

I remember when the new series first came out I spoke to Crosslee tech because I couldnt remove the blower wheel their answer “smash it off”

I couldnt believe it ,But having done them on behalf of Mastercare at one time or another 😉 I know know it to be true and I bear the sacrs to prove it.

Pity we can’t get that fact through to insurance companies.

We make a call to fit a belt, & yes the fan has to be smashed off the shaft. (In severe cases, melted off with a flame). 10 Months later, totally unrelated, the motor fails for whatever reason, so destroy the fan again, submit the claim form & yes you guessed it, rejected the whole amount as the fan has already been replaced in the last 12 months.

The above is not unique to any particular insurance company, we get it right across the board.
