Hi i have one of the above mentioned condenser dryers. It works normally apart from there is no heat anymore. The model number is 37667 and the serial numbeer is 376600044. There are two thermostat kits on the whitegoods site and i am not sure which one to purchase. Any help gladly appreciated. Kind regards, adam.

If you are certain about that serial number (seems to have one number too many to me) then,

THIS is the kit you need.

Take care not to damage the heating element, it is seriously expensive for your model. 😯

Yes checked again and the serial number is correct. I do get where your coming from though as a previous thread about the same part does quote a serial number of one less digit. Are there any tell tale signs that it is the stat that has gone? as i dont want to order it if the element has gone, are there any tell tale signs that the element has gone?
Thanks so much for your help.

No ‘tell tales signs’ as such, the only way to be certain is to test the stats with a megger or suitable multimeter for continuity.

A quick visual examination of the element will usually reveal any damage.

Elements don’t fail that often compared to stats. This one in particular is quite sound, they only ones of these I have changed have been damaged by bra wires or similar.

Hi, me again, ordered the parts and great delivery time! BUT… on checking the serial number again i thin i may have put the wrong figure down, the number is 73100022. Do i need the other kit or is this one fine to use? i have the red spot one. If not can i simply exchange them please. Sorry my fault and thanks for your help. :boops: :clown:

Serial number beginning with 73 should be the green spot, 1701583 kit.

Not sure about the returns policy, contact by e-mail would be the thing to do.

Is your heating element more or less square or is it approx a 3×10 inch rectangle?

It gas 4 of those coil type things and i would say it is more rectangle than square.

Does sound as though you need the green spot kit.
