Been to look at a 3y’old Hotpoint T-Dryer CTD20, PCB behind facia had fallen down & shorted against drum & knocked off trip, it was hardly turning & was all blocked up with fluff on front bearing.
After cleaning loads & putting together again it runs freely but only if i hold in start button, checked for dry joints etc on PCB bit none evident.
Is the PCB the likely culprit & whats it called or its part num?

    Seamy,

is it not a relay you have behind the facia? They are prone to going faulty part number Hpt1701624.

SORRY its a VTD20 instead of CTD20, can’t read my own scribbles.

Small PCB with several small relays on it from memory
