Currys Repairs Services – No Fix No Fee, 7 Days a Week?its interesting to see that there advertising – 7 DAYS – but when you go to web site it says – AVAILABLE 6 DAYS
so what is it – 7 DAYS AS THEY SAY ON GOOGLE PPC or 6 – bit of false advertising to draw the customers in i think ..
did you also know they have 600 engineers uk wide , thats what their site says

Indies can do 8 days a week and 25hrs a day if we so choose. However Currys apparently have the Knowhow in order to compete. Soon everyone will want to buy a Whirlpool as the world of white goods is evolving into a new and exciting phase.
Meanwhile 0800 are recruiting in readiness of this surge in demand for top quality experience ‘engineers’ to cover and cope with the maddening influx.
Indies are geared up ready to go at a moments notice. Same day and all work guaranteed a full 12 months. That fact in itself knocks spots over Currys 90 day promise.
Nirvana here we come…….!

yeh i suppose nick picking – but its a bit cheeky to advertise 7DAY service when their web site totally contradicts this,
i doubt they have 600 appliance engineers
it just another big player taking a slice of a small cake ,

As far as I know they work a 4 on 3 off system, which basically means the engineers are always working some part of the weekend all but about two weeks in two months or something stupid like that!
Oh and the engineers are still meant to get 5 days work into 4!
As for 600 engineers I don’t know but I seriously doubt it!Phil

been in the caves Gibraltar rock ? quite cool , seemingly the have rock concerts in them as acoustic sound good .

Some Knowhow sites, say Bristol, work a 5 over 3 cover, so engineers are available Saturdays and Sundays 7 days a week.
Some centres, say Cardiff are closed Sunday & Monday, so only work 5 days, Tuesday to Saturday.
So the site is not misleading as there is cover dependant on region. There are reasons for this, but I ain’t going down that road, to many mines and dangers.

wasnt really the site i thought was misleading it was more the google ppc advert ,
more confusing than anything , google add says 7 days – site says 6
i get that their doing shifts ie 4 on / off etthe web site says available 6 days ,
quoting from the site – ” available 6 days a week across most of the uk”
why advertise 7 day service if their site says they only work 6 days
kinda contradicts itself , maybe they need to change wed site to available 7 days ..
i get it honestly – a tad cheeky with the google ppc

Its KnowHow, the title gives you all you need to Know, they KnowHow I’m sure one day what they KnowHow will actually get translated into something more appropriate, like getting it right.

ken – i was bored , just trying to stick up for the small fish
on a funnier note – i genuinely thought my next door neighbor knew someone from knowhow as their van has been at their house every other day for about a month
turns out no they dont know them – been getting the dishwasher fixed , again and again , and again , and again , and again
weve just recently moved in so neighbor didnt know i do repairs .
best keeping that way i says ..

Currys’s stopped doing 7 day service 22 june 2014…now just monday to Saturday

It may appear funny that a big boy such as Knowhow has engineers constantly recalling, but if you step back and think, you may realise that our industry has serious flaws within it, making a large company struggle to recruit quality people.
As they say you can’t teach stupid.

yeh i seen it 1st hand with comet
various so called engineers all on different pay structures , some of the most senior and experienced on 4k less than newby with no skills , and i mean no skills – no customer skills , no appliance skills , taken on from different industry etc . think comet were getting a grant from the someone at the time .
anyone with a bit of savy was basically sent out to all the f- ups and spent most of there day dealing with abusive or confused customers .
ahh they were the days – life was so much simpler ..
