I have also had a problem with my ariston (Model) A1124uk stopping at the rinse satge. The mains light flashes quickly and the program/timer dial just keeps spinning round. I changed the timer (mine says 1965/1/0.02) for a 1665/1/0 which I was told was the correct one for my washing machine. This did not fix the problem, so upon further investigation I found a lollipop stick stuck in the pump. The machine now drains and spins but the timer does not move round automactically and I have to turn it manually. Any ideas ? Thanks [/img]

Put the original timer back on and see what happens – it almost certainly won’t be faulty.

    Power off…….

There will be a noticible delay between a sequence of flashes. At the start of that sequence count the number of flashes before the long delay. The number you count will refer to a particular fault.
My guess seeing as it stops before rinses is possibly one of the cold fill solenoids has failed.
