Domestic & General have written to me asking if I would like to do jobs for them. I usually ignore such requests but work has been slack of late so I am considering it. There is an application form and a big health & safety form I would have to fill in. At present I don’t do refrigeration, gas or dishwashers so my range of services might be too limited for them. They also expect me to state my hourly rates, mark up on spares etc, when working for them. I don’t have a clue about the going rates for contract work, apart from those quoted by GBDAR, which I consider to be too low. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I’ve had the application form sent through as well. Seems a bit of a trick question completed labour rate per repair to Dom and Gen. Do I stick my normal call charges in or come up with one to suit them 😕
