little 3amp fuse on pcb at top blown , thought maybe bulb etc had a look nothing , mega app nothing – put new fuse in – blew straight away ,

disconected compressor and defo element , replaced fuse guess what – yip blew again ..

now stuck , any ideas

look at the door wireing next to the hinge they somtimes chaff and short circuit.

looking at the diagram it looks as if the defrost drain heater is what is causing this problem (not the defrost hester) the louver heater is in the freezer evaporator section.

CHEERS was going to say dont think theres any door wire as this doesnt have water/ice disp , not even display on out side ..

will check drain heater , tbh didnt think it had one – thought it was just defo ele .. in frz

Hi Ally,

the defrost heater also serves as the drain heater on the model (sorry for the confusion 😳 ) but getting back to the louver heater as you did say in your pm that you traced the wireing to that, the louver heater id built on to the back of the freezer evaporator cover, have a look at pase 56-57 on the service manual.
