ParticipantThis Daewoo AFF has just come to my knowledge !! No plumbing ?
Can anyone tell me how this really works ? Must have a huge tank inside ? Any feedback from clients please. I can see it has a dispenser for Ice and water but I am thinking it will run out of water frequently without the users’ constant vigilance ??

Hi
There will be a refillable water tank inside the fridge section normally on the fridge door and this would normally hold about 1-2 ptrs.

I am due to deliver one of these to a large Holiday Villa where 20 /30 people will be back and fore the kitchen refilling their Water beakers or gettjng Ice for the G&Ts etc so it will constantly run out of course. Does anyone know if there is a capability to plumb it in so it works with or without a water supply ?FPN-Q19DVSI is the exact model number.
No info on Daewoos web pageSeptember 18, 2016 at 3:09 pm #441067SAMURI

The tank is in the fridge door and it is fitted with a pump at the rear behind the panel at the bottom on the right hand side.
They should have gone for a different model if they did not want to keep filling it up as you cannot connect it to a water supply.

Thanks Bob !
This was my lack of knowledge as I had it supplied to me as an American FF from a distributor. Maybe he did not realise ???

the tank is under the one of fridge shelfs on these kinda like a dairy tray about 2inch and the size of shelf
issues — need to keep it topped up or you get air in disp line
not to bad for user as the just need to hold cup until it clears
but ice maker is tricky part — re when ice maker levels it asks for about 8 seconds of water — and it will get air instead
there is a test button under ice maker – so if this happens they may need to press test button -let ice maker do its thing
and watch for water coming through into tray — normally 3-4 tests
in the last year we fitted 2-3 ice makers , 2 pumps
not to bad — just make sure clients keep water topped up

Thanks Ally ! I’ll remember that if I ever sell it !!
My client bought a normal one from me instead when I told him it had a tank?
The Daewoo could be useful for a single person or couple where a water supply is complicated?? I’ll make sure they understand the tank issue so they don’t bring it back though !!!September 27, 2016 at 9:01 am #441071funkyboogy

no probs
i think they are all doing this now — samsung seen to have one
there are great if you dont want the hassle of plumbing etc
but the downside is air in the line if you let water run out
