My Daewoo DWC-LD1421 washer dryer is having problems. It’s washing just fine, but the dryer isn’t working. I get the E3 error code. This all happened about a year ago and I left it, but I decided to try it again today and see if it worked and it did! However it stopped drying again after about an hour. I replaced the fan motor last year when it stopped working, but it didn’t fix the problem then and I am still having the problem. The E3 error code isn’t in my manual. I did have an electrician look at it a year ago and he said the fan motor was fine, but we could try to replace it and we did and it did work for one cycle, but then stopped again.
I’m not really sure what else we can try, but I’m open to suggestions. The laundry is piling up and I’d rather not have to spend £300 getting a new dryer. Want to get it all done before Christmas 🙂 . Thanks you for any help.

The E3 error is dryer related and would seem to point to the fan motor but, without testing and seeing what’s going on it’s not really possible to speculate any more than that.

I did replace the fan motor, but that did not fix the problem.

As explained here, error or fault codes give you a clue. They do not usually give you the exact nature of the problem or, what’s really causing it.
