Hi people,

I have had a problem with the above fridge freezer for quite a while now and i need a fix now really!!
The freezer constantly leaks water from the bottom of the door. I took the bottom trays out today and removed the bottom cover from inside the freezer and it looks like the defrost heater is emerged in one big block of ice!! Is it this that’s not working and needs replacing?

Just defrost it first and make sure the drain hole is clear. Cuold have become blocked and caused ice to build up when the melt water freezes again. If the FF is leaking then chances are the defrost heater is working. (Defrost water can’t drain away and leaks out of freezer). If defrost heater was faulty there would be no leak just loads of ice.
