    Hi all,

We have been to look at a Daewoo washer dryer today that is getting extremely hot on the dry cycle.

    Model DWCLD1421, S/N KW11YES8650080

The temperature of the stainless steel drum is reaching 87 celcius, the blower assembly is reaching 92 celcius. The cabinet and lid are also extremely hot.

There is no error code showing.

The TOC hasn’t blown but there is no temperature written on the stat to show when it should be cutting out.

Does anyone know what temperature this should be functioning at and whether it is just a case of replacing the TOC to resolve the problem?

Obviously we are concerned that we may be opening a can of worms if we replace the TOC and this doesn’t resolve the fault.

    Thanks in advance.

Replacing the TOC wouldn’t rectify the problem but relacing the termistor probably would. I’ve never seen a Daewoo in my life but I’d like to think that, like other makes, it does at least have a temperature control stat or thermistor?

Yes, there is a thermistor, but we’re just surprised the TOC hasn’t cut out at that high a temperature? There’s no info anywhere at what temperature the drying cycle should run at.
