KeymasterOkay, I know the following (I think) but could Neil or Mark please confirm all:
Admission for the afternoon including lunch (2 course) is £25.
Kick-off is 11am
It’s an open forum
Non-DASA members can attend if they wish including WP’s/manufacturers/insurers/spares providers etc.
Now the questions and I’ll add to this as I come up with ideas:
Will non-members be able to get info on DASA there? (no-brainer that one, just making sure it will be available)
Other then the brief morning meeting, is it totally open or what’s the format?
Is the morning meeting open to DASA members?
Are Dave and I allowed to attend the council meeting on the Friday?
Do we want the meal on the Friday night made public?
What’s the format for the meal, same drill or what?
Gimme the answers and let’s kick this feckin’ trade into touch and get these normally apathetic bastards twitching a bit. I’m fed up hearing the same old tired shit from some of them, let’s make this an event they won’t want to miss, or think that they cannot afford to miss! 😉

Participantwho is the director as after the officers meeting and chris’s comments there maybe a vacancy soon. but I can see no objection to any servicing company sending a representitive the idea is to wake up the whole industry.

KeymasterOkay, so the bits at the top are correct then? Other than that can I have a free hand to promote this and, as you say Mark, wake them all up a bit?

Participantyou haven’t meet my wife I live in fear.must say thank you for a very good white goods meeting and hoped you enjoyed the dasa meeting.

KeymasterYes, both meetings were good and I do think that a lot of interest has been sparked by efforts all round. Now all we need do is to keep up the momentum and it will happen on it’s own as people are looking for some way to improve their lot as it were.
I really don’t think that we will have to worry about attendance at the AGM, in fact, I actually think that you’ll find that it could be a record breaking attendance level. Which is good for us, but it’s really gonna scare the shit out of some people! 😉
Not that I care about upsetting the apple cart a bit mind. 😀

K.I have it on good authority that there are a lot of people walking around with lumps in the back of their trousers already! In a few months time they will be shaking it out of their trouser legs.

Both meetings, though different in their respective formats were extremely enjoyable and interesting, and the social side was also most enjoyable. Thanks to the DASA lads for making me feel welcome and I can see some things very positive are coming from those two days.

KeymasterBEWARE OF THE DRAGON!!! Marks wifes a pussy cat really you just need to know how to handle her. A bunch of flowers works wonders. A night out on the canal would be ideal, wonder what Chris will think though when he books the hotel meal for all his cronies. It will probably be the begining of the end especially after the letter I have written to him. DASA is an association for our industry not a one man show , and definately not for that person to pick and choose who he accepts and renoews memberships for.

KeymasterNo he cant , but whos to know what he is doing. You only find things out when you ask questions. Andy Wiley ex Maddocks/ Hygene came in this morning. He works for masterparts who used to be associate members. He says for the last two years they have never been sent a renewal. Who else has this happened too. ?
