ParticipantHi all 😀
Do you remember the DASA thread not long ago? Of course you do, it was great with all the input and suggestions of various kind I really enjoyed it and it was a shame that it was just a lead up to the AGM, but I did expect someone to come back and tell us what happened! Or is it top secret only to people with rolled up trousers and funny handshakes,
But seriously what was the outcome? Was there anything that would persuade non member to join? Or have I jumped the gun and one of you is busy writing the sequel “DASA’s revenge”
Is there any life in the old dog yet? Who got beat up? Who got drunk and made a fool of themselves? Was there any incriminating photo’s?I would have thought that there would have been some post about it by now either good or bad with all the interest that was shown in the original post so come on chaps get your gloves on and come out fighting (no hitting below the belt).

There was a bit came out of it Richard besides what was on the front page which was obviously an extremely condensed overview of it all. Basically, the DASA bods are off to think about and try to resolve some of the points raised by Steve Rochefort in his presentation which, funnily enough, were almost identically mirrored on here as well.
A review of the Code Of Practise and the Constitution of DASA have been promised for now and there is an interim meeting to take place in November, most likely with both the aforementioned high on the agenda.
Closer links with AMDEA and others are also being discussed.
Beyond that I’m not really sure what’s being planned at this stage.
I got drunk and quite often make a fool of myself but I believe I was very quiet, restrained and kept a low profile this time around. 😀
Oldtog was wandering around with his camera so I assume there are some incriminating photos somewhere, of whom doing what I have absolutely no idea at all but if I get them, they’ll get uploaded. 😉

Cheers K.
I had read the news on the front page but to me it said nothing at all about how DASA intends to attract new members, how the benefit of membership would outweigh the membership fee, or how it intends to keep the membership it already has.
The comments on the original post were from the members and non members, I don’t doubt that your meeting was interesting with regard to your guest speakers and such but have things changed enough that the original posters have altered their views? Has some kind of peace been sorted out in other words I was after the personal views not the official ones.

KeymasterThat wasn’t an official comment Richard just a bit more information than I fired on the front page.
I was hoping that someone would pipe up as well about how good it was and that the future of DASA was bright and give non-members cause to look again at DASA but so far, as you can see, it hasn’t happened.
Cest la vie.

Hope you’re having a nice time Del. 😀
I’m actually surprised, one that you worked out the Turkish keyboard 😆 and two, that you actually can see UKW as I think Trevor has blocked a load of Turkish IP blocks after the time we got hacked. 🙄

Interesting that there are so few replies to this rs….
However the fate of Dasa is in their own hands and apart from Mr Chairman, only a few of those hands are capable…
Best left alone to chew over the recommendations and sort out themselves, and whilst I have had my say its a shame that whilst some talk behind your back they don’t have the backbone to reply…..in here.
kevin
Ps some of them wont even join UKW…what does that tell you.
