ParticipantI guess we have all recieved the minutes of the recent council meeting today.
Is it just me, or has our Mr Hayter ever so slightly changed the angle of some of the discussion points ? 🙁
Or was I at a different meeting.
Dave.

KeymasterOh you were there but obviously there’s a little bit of spin involved in the meetings as well as the post on the forums re the AGM. 🙄
Now, I could take it apart bit by bit but I don’t think i ought to, suffice to say it’s not very good representation of what actually happened that day. The glaring ones being Kevin having a dig at Chris and then saying that he got no reply to his letter as director of DASA, if that wasn’t a response I don’t know what is! The other one is EESEL, that should sit well with Mark who basically told him to shut it on the subject as it was sod all to do with DASA.
I an *SOOO* tempted to post what really happened either here or on the DASA forum, or a response at least.

KeymasterYour all to late already sent an email back to Chris informing him of a number of discrepencies in his minutes and politelty suggested that they be amended before they are issued.

Can I take it then that the minutes we recieved last night by email should never have been sent, or is Chris ignoring your request to ammend them ?

ParticipantI see from the snail mailed AGM agenda this morning that Network DASA has been added with a talk from Tony Brown of MFI. 😀
Also attached the Council Members nomination form, I see that there is no mention of the directorship open to re-election 🙁 Or is this not allowed ?

KeymasterSorry for delay in replying Dave, but it would seem at present Chris appears to be ignoring alot of correspondance and picking and choosing what he replies too. I do not agree with the minutes being released until they have been checked and this should be discussed at the next council meeting.
The officers have the future of DASA at heart and are trying to take some control over the running of the association for the interest of its members. A number of requests have been made of Chris and he has so far choosen not to give the replies as requested.
Chris is not as far as we are aware an elected person but a consultant who works on behalf of DASA, with a contract! We as representatives of DASA would like Chris to carry out the requests made of him and are slowly being pushed into a corner. No unreasonable requests have been made but hopefully all will be sorted out at the AGM.
Sorry cant tell you too many details at present as we are respecting Chris’s confidentiality.

Indeed, if I hadn’t been there and was a DASA member who happened to read the minutes, it would be total misrepresentation of what was actually discussed.
Chris needs to ‘wise up’ or take a huge back-step at the least IMHO.
BTW Chris has access to the trade forums on this site (not twr), he signed up as user name “DASA”, now if that isn’t taking the piss…..

Methinks that’s in hand 😉
Chris’s sign in was changed at the behest of the DASA council to “CH” as a username instead of “DASA” to stop any confusion over who was speaking. ATEOTD, Chris is not DASA and anything posted under that username could be misconstrued as being a DASA position which, IMHO, without council approval it should not be. Needless to say I didn’t have a problem with this.
Dave, if Chris asks his username is now “CH” and all the other details remain unchanged, password etc.

ParticipantDevaluation of whitegoods
Without being picky, C.H. issued a personal document at the DASA meeeting. Included on that was a scurrilous remark undermining the integrity of the whitegoods group.
Kevin Heath picked up on this & I latched on very quickly. Anyone there at the time will no doubt recall I strongly requested that the protests that were unanimous in that room be put on the minutes. Did I miss a page from those minutes? as this protest wasn’t tabulated. If not would there be an objection if I mention this small point on the forthcoming meeting? If it is felt prudent that I keep quiet, then no problem as I don’t want to make it look like that we are usurping good old DASA, after all we will be working with them soon.
Comments please.

KeymasterMinutes
I think the whole of the minutes should not be passed as a true record of what actually happened at the last meeting.
If that happens,I’m not sure what happens…………
Mark would you have a proceedure for this event? 🙁 -
