Date of manufacture query – Creda

Hi

I have a Creda 86404 Coldstore fridge freezer, I’ve been trying to find out the date of manufacture online but am having no luck. I know the serial number, is there a way for me to find out the date of manufacture through this for a Creda model? I have found how to do it for many other brands but not for Creda.

Creda coldstore? Now that is an old one. Post up the serial number and we’ll have a go.

I imagined it was pretty old! It’s in my rented place and I suspect it’s causing a lot of electricity usage. It seems to be faulty as well as it’s freezing things in the crisper drawer even on the warmest setting. Hoping to leverage a new appliance with my landlord, so just curious of when it was manufactured, if it’s possible to find out.

Well, I reckon about 20 years old.

My colleague [USER=”3176″]iadom[/USER] is a retired Creda Hotpoint engineer who may have more of an idea. I have tagged him so will see what he comes up with.

Morning Don, saw this post yesterday but don’t recognise that number as a proper serial number. Could be much older but even so it just sounds like a faulty thermostat. Well worth repairing if you can actually identify the thermostat which any decent refrigeration engineer could do.
