Dating a Miele and Dyson from serial no.

Anyone have any ideas as to how the serials break down into a date code? Got a miele and Dyson looking decidedly shiny but both with motor failures, and cant get hold of cust’rs to find out how old they are. i would ring mfctr but they be shut till mon, so wanna get them sorted before then as i have some free time if they arent in warranty 🙁

Depending on the model of the Dyson, if it’s a clutched model the month and year of manufacture will be on the “clutch” .. If that helps .. If there is no date on it, it’s pre 2000, which by your description is unlikely.
