Hi,
This morning I came to do a little hoovering (sorry, vacuuming) only to find it’s thrown a rod.
When in it’s most upright position (as if stored), when switching on, there is nothing – it appears dead to the world.
If I use the foot lever and lower the handle, then the beater kicks into life. It sounds a little off – possibly rattly, but that spins. No suction.
If I then switch off the beater using the button next to the power button, the beater stops as expected, but there is no motor noise to provide the suction.
I’ve stripped it down as a user would do, to check for blockages, etc. All looks as well as can be expected for a 10yr old unit.
Is the motor knackered or do I have some other issue?
I’m trying to figure out if it’s going to be an economical fix or not. I’m happy to do the repair myself, just need a little expert knowledge to help me decide what the issue is.
Thanks for your help
Matt.
