ParticipantHi.
Has anyone got a wiring diagram and parts list for this cooker. The customer has been told that the main PCB is obsolete but I am not convinced that it’s the PCB at fault.
The cooling fan runs continuously… It is being controlled by a relay on the main PCB which cuts in about one second after the appliance is connected to the mains.
I cannot find any cabinet temperature sensor anywhere???
If the PCB is at fault, and if it is obsolete, does anyone know of a thermostat that I can connect in series with the coling fan that would override the PCB?
Also, I need the ‘ratchet’ ends to the top door handle. I have not seen these before and can’t quite work out how they can be fitted.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Bob

Why Brandt make these over complex damn things I’ll never know…
Anyway, email away of the circuit and the door picture.
There are two PCB’s one incorporates the timer which is obsolete, the other is the main control PCB which is 93X8245 at about £90 trade (on Connect’s site)
No fan switch on sensors I can see, it’s all controlled by the PCB and probes apart from one safety cut-out.

Fitted the new module today and it made no difference. I’ve given up on this one. 🙁
I hate being beaten by a machine. 😥
Thanks for your help though

Bob is there a temperature sensor (like a washing machine ‘stat) mounted on the top of oven near fan? I’ve not seen too many of these but i thought that was how they were controled when temp drops fan should shutoff. I think i had this prob’ years ago, is the door ratchet you speak of part of the locking mechanism for pyroletic cleaning?

hi bob
you could fit a standard 60oc normally open stat on the rear of the appliance, when the oven cavity reaches 60oc then th fan will come on and then turn off when it drops again.
if you need one i have them in stock.

Thanks lads.
To be honest I am not sorry that this job has gone!
The customer has driven me mad over this one. The appliance is an absolute pig to get out as the thing has been built in and tiled afterwards. I spent an age getting it out with the customer breathing over my shoulder. Then I spent a further hour or so looking for a temperature sensor that would control the fan.. All to no avail.
The wiring diagram shows no sensor either!
Thanks anyway.
Bob
