I have what MAY be a failure of the grill element in the main oven of a DOD348XG11.

The symptoms are that in “fan oven mode” (99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of what we use it for), the oven works fine, but in turbo-grill mode, the fan starts up, but it doesn’t get hot. Likewise the pyrolytic cycle appears to run, but doesn’t actually heat up anything like enough (and from looking at the TOP oven, which works 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. the grill element is glowing during the cycle, so I’m guessing it’s all related in the main oven.)

I can find, on your sales site, a replacement grill element for a DOD348XG1, but am not sure whether this is the same as the …XG11

Also, not sure how straightforward this is to replace for a man with some basic electrical nouse, but certainly not an appliance specialist.

    Regards,

    Re: De Dietrich – DOD348XG11

Thanks to Dave from ukwhitegoods who mailed me to confirm that the replacement part for the …11 and …1 were indeed the same.

The part arrived during the week, and proved to be straightforward to fit (albeit having to lug the oven out of the cupboard to unscrew the back first.)

Now with working grill AND working pyrolytic stuff.
