    Hi

We have had the above oven for over 2 years with no problems.

Today I was cooking roast potatoes on the fan oven setting. Whilst checking the oil in the oven I notice a small orange ‘puff’ in the back of the oven. I thought this might of been a piece of discarded food catching and carried on as normal.

The oven remained ‘warm’ even though the temperature was set to 225 degrees. Needless to say the potatoes did not cook. (I know at the beginning of cooking the oven was working because the oil heated up to temperature)

Having since done some investigation it appears that the oven is fine on ECO (which is the conventional oven) and fine on Combined (which is the lower and upper elements and the air circulation device). With that said, I do not know if the top & bottom elements are cooking the food and the fan element is still doing nothing.

The fan sounds like it is working and as I say, the oven gets warmish, but not hot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Since we have moved nearly every electrical appliance has had some sort of problem. Think the house is jinxed 🙁

    Many thanks

    Sharon

The fan element has failed Sharon, a straightforward enough repair generally 😉

Check the repairs@ link below, that should point you to an engineer in your area 😀

    Thank you very much Dave

Good news. Now all I need is an engineer who is still working coming up to Christmas 😉

    Thanks again

    Sharon
