Need a bulb for a DOD338 and they’re very expensive, well over 30 pounds!!

    They’re Osram Halopin G9 25W

the cheapest heat resistant ones i’ve seen are on amazon at 10 quid but there is other ones on there too that are far cheaper that don’t seem to mention heat resistance.

The two different types (heat and not, all Osram G9s it would appear) seem to have the same number and I’m wondering are they all heat resistant and are they just trying to squeeze a few more bucks out of us for buying one for an expensive oven!

Has anyone changed these? where were they got? and has anyone tried the cheaper ones?

    I don’t really want to spend 40 BlipBlops on a fricken light…..

    Cheers

    HI Dave,

We have tried normal G9 lamps and have no problem with them at all.
