Hi all, Ive been to a De Dietrich Induction Hob DTI309 today. Never worked on one before.
If you place a kettle on one of the rings and press the boost button, all I get is bo flashing on the display.

Anyone got any experience on these beasts !!!

Now I know absolutely zilch about cookers & hobs, but don’t you need a certain type of base on the kettle, saucepan etc to get the hob to work?

    Does it work with saucepans?

Tell me to get my coat if you want!

Well I assume they have the right sort of kettle, as it works on the other four rings of the hob!!!!!!!!!!!

You more than likely have a problem with the pan sensor or main board then!

    Re: De Dietrich Induction Hob

if you get a flashing display you have more than lightly used a wrong pan.. pans need to be non ferrious

something to do with induction/emf fields .. pan completes the field ..

but if pan doesnt have good magnetic properties it wont return/complete field..

best way to check is stick a magnet to pan ..

wow i fell like steven hawkins now .. quite a complex issue ..

not used to replying to complex problems .. hope it makes sense ..

and there is a possibility pan sensor faulty..
