De Dietrich VZ 9636 U1 – stuck in rinse cycle – help please

Hi,

Our De Dietrich VZ 9636 U1 appears to get stuck in it’s rinse mode.

It starts the cycle ok, does the pre-wash, dumps the water, pulls fresh water, drops in the tab, washes, dumps the water, pulls fresh water, rinses and rinses and rinses …………. never stopping.

Any ideas ? – sounds like a timer to me 🙁

It seems the only “common” spare listed for this machine is the timer, I’m guessing that’s probably the fault but at £75 quid, I would like a second opinion on that, anyone ?
