I could do with some advice.
I want to replace the ignition switch on my AL60GA (precursor to the AL60GAC) but wonder:
A: I am legally allowed to do this, not being a registered/qualified gas engineer?
B: How the devil do you get the old one out?

    Thanks in advance
    Bill

any repair on gas appliances should be carried out by qualified engineers. If you try it yourself and you cause a gas leak it could be a big problem. A gas safe engineer will check the whole installation for leaks after the job has been done

Thanks Dave, I’ll take your advice. I suspect the ignition switch had been super-glued then attached by a gorilla in a bad mood. I’ll call in the experts: someone with a big wrench or a hammer! Cheers, Bill
