KeymasterJust so you can all see where there is limited or no cover on Repairs@ I thought I’d post up the dead postcodes as we find them and customers ask them. That way you can see that it is working and that there is a call for it.
So far we have IP and N postcode requests that are effectively “dead”. I suspect the IP ones were a test, but you get the point and Dave and I will add to this thread as time goes by with some of the calls that have been lost.
Already there’s at least two genuine calls off the nodule and it’s only been live for a few hours!

It’s too much hassle to list out all the dead calls from Repairs@ but elminating over half of them as being testing this week there’s been about 41 calls lost due to lack of cover. The point being that people are using it!

I’m not surprised as there are a good number of areas that the public come back to tell us so. I cannot believe Brighton/Southampton/Portsmouth/Bournemouth, in fact all along the central south coast are not covered by any UKW repairer 🙁
Many other similar examples show gaping holes in our ‘Network’. So from that I think if you pm me those dead area’s Ken, I at least can be on the lookout for ‘someone to cover’ so to speak.
😯 41calls @£40 a call = £1640 going begging 😯

Slow down Martin.
We have plans and we are putting things into place. UKW does not have a “network” as such, remember this is a “free” service to trade members(if they qualify as a repairer) and not a repair network. UKW is providing a link to supply quality repairs to members, who if we can increase our membership will increase our coverage 😉
As and when we can unveil a little more….we will. There’s plenty more to come, but one step at a time, as we reveal more so our readers become more informed, and not all our readers will want to read about our progress. So leave us to it, please. I and Ken and Dave will be happy to bring all of you up to date, as much as we can, on the Saturday meeting which as you have said several times is for repairers only.
thanks
Kevin

KeymasterYeah Martin, “network” is a dangerous word to use ’cause then instead of a union we’ll be branded as a work provider as well as or instead of “pain in the ass” which we are often referred to as being! 😆
