Decor panel fridge – is Liebherr KUw1740 only one?

Hi Folks

Please be kind to a newbie asking dim questions!

Our Zanussi ZP1411 built-under fridge is getting pretty tired after 26 years. It still works but most of the internal plastic bits are either broken off or stuck together with duct tape, so I’m looking for a replacement.

It’s got a substantial custom-built wooden door matching the kitchen units screwed on to the metal door. This is a completely different arrangement to most modern fridges.

The local appliance shop said this was a “decor panel” type and the only one they knew that was still made was the Liebherr one in the title.

Does anyone know of any others, or failing that, know of anywhere that discounts Liebherr? It’s obviously a premium brand and with the pound down against the Euro it ain’t cheap!

I don’t think remodelling the door is a realistic option

There are no decor panel built under fridges I`m afraid, this is about the best deal I have come across after a quick search. Which for a built in fridge is par for the course for what is an extremely good quality product which will outlast a lot of the other brands.

Another option would be to take one of your kitchen doors around the kitchen suppliers and see if you can find a close match and then you could then replace with an “integrated” fridge of which the choice is far greater as is the budget as well.
